The procedure for establishing the ISR is broadly similar to that for establishing the European search report. As a rule, the ISR is established and then transmitted to the applicant and the IB within three months of receipt of the search copy of the application (see point 71) or within nine months of the earliest priority date, whichever time limit expires later.
