Notice dated 20 November 1998 concerning new versions of various forms

- OJ 1998, 597 -

1. A revised Request for Grant form¹ has been introduced. In Section 32.2, Cyprus² has been added as a contracting state and in Section 34 the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia³ has been added as an "extension state". The form otherwise remains the same. The revised form will therefore not be printed in the Official Journal for the time being. The code for the revised form is "EPA/EPO/OEB Form 1001 11.98".

2. The Designation of Inventor form and the Individual Authorisation form⁴ have been reprinted without any amendments. The codes for the reprinted forms are "EPA/EPO/OEB Form 1002 11.98" and "EPA/EPO/OEB Form 1003 11.98".

3. The Payment of Fees and Costs form⁵ has been reprinted with minimal changes. The code for the new version is "EPA/EPO/OEB Form 1010 11.98".

4. Applicants can continue to use the old versions of the forms without suffering any prejudice to their rights.

5. The forms are obtainable free of charge from the EPO (preferably from Vienna, but also from Munich, The Hague and Berlin) and the central industrial property offices of the contracting states. Except for the Payment of Fees and Costs form, the forms are also obtainable via the Office's Internet address "http://www.european-patent-office.org" as editable texts in pdf format and in Word for Windows format⁶.

6. A compendium of the latest versions of the most important EPO application forms will be published at a later date.
