1.	There was a general interruption of the postal service in the United Kingdom within the meaning of Rule 85, paragraph 2, EPC.

This interruption and subsequent dislocation in the delivery of mail lasted from 2 August to 3 September 1993.

In the case of parties having their domicile or principal place of business in the United Kingdom or who have appointed representatives having their place of business in the United Kingdom, time-limits expiring in the period from 2 August to 3 September 1993 shall be extended to 6 September 1993 pursuant to Rule 85, paragraphs 2 and 3, EPC.
