The formalities officer should also ensure that documents other than those referred to in III, 3.2 meet the requirements set out in IX, 2.3, i.e. be typewritten or printed with a margin of about 2.5 cm on the left-hand side of each page, and are filed in a sufficient number of copies so that each party will have a document for each application or patent (see IX, 2.4).
